Loft Boarding

All our boarding is on top of a sub frame base making sure that no wires get trapped in the process and also creating a very strong floor enabling our customers to use the space they never had before. We use 18mm tongue and grove boards that are fsc approved and guarantee all our work.

Loft Ladders

We have a wide variety of ladders depending on what your needs are and the specification of the loft area. We use Aluminium ladders in our basic package but you can upgrade to a Wooden hatch and ladder or even one of our specialised ladders if your loft is suitable. You will be advised on this on our FREE survey and we will not install a ladder in an unsafe location.

Loft Insulation

The depth recommended is 270mm in all lofts and this should be lay in-between joists at 400mm-600mm centres. Insulation should also be cross layed to get maximum use out of it. This is something that we have thought about with our design of floor making sure that you still get this when having your loft boarded. We also make sure you have enough airflow within your loft ensuring that the eaves aren’t blocked with Insulation. We recommend that you have the full 270mm to save costs on your heating bills and creating a much warmer home.

Loft Lighting

All our lighting is on an independent switch, don’t be fooled by these DIY installers who tell you that your light underneath has to be on for it to work. We can install normal pendant light fittings or if you want it extra bright up there why not choose our 4 ft fluorescent lights.

Loft Hatches

There are many options when you are thinking about having a new hatch. Maybe you want a Upvc hatch for easy maintenance or a Wooden Hatch and Ladder for a big opening. Perhaps you are already happy with the hatch you have and just require a door to drop down. Whatever your needs we can provide this service to you. We can also move your hatch into a most suitable area so if you aren’t happy with where it is right now this can be achieved.

Roof Windows

Do you want some natural light in your loft? Maybe you are spending a lot of time up there and want some fresh air. Well we can provide you with a Roof Window to suit your needs. Please enquire on your FREE survey if you require this service as an additional day may be required.

Vents

Are you concerned about ventilation? For extra peace of mind we can fit extra ventilation within your loft ensuring that you will have no issues with condensation or moisture drops. As we know that heat rises and the loft is the last place for all the heat to go how can we be sure that its not going to get full with condensation? Well, we install lapvents in addition to making sure your eaves are clear from insulation. You will be advised on your FREE survey if you require these.

Shelving

If you want to organise your new loft space a little more why not have some shelving made. We can make shelving to suit any loft design and this can be installed on the same day as your flooring. All shelving is made from 18mm mdf boards and can be made to any size.
